Meet Natalie Siagian / @nat.asia
“I am a certified creative rebel with a cause, a professional idea generator and playlist maker. I exist to create and leave people better and more creative than when I found them. I believe if it isn't fun, why do it?”
In 2014, my journey as a Creative Marketer started after graduating with a Business Marketing degree and booking a one-way ticket to Northern Thailand to volunteer to teach English. Here I realised I had a real passion and talent for storytelling, marketing, writing, travelling, learning, personal and professional development.
The last 9+ years have led me down interesting paths across my life and career - I’ve worked in the world of Marketing on globally-renowned brands like Contiki Holidays, Pollen, WhiteGREY, U by Kotex, Volvo Car Australia, Marketing For Good, McDonald’s Australia, Westpac and more but truthfully, I’ve always been a people-person, creative wizard and serial passion project creator.
In 2021, I left the 9-5 corporate rat race for good and founded The Personhood in the middle of the pandemic originally, to solve my problems as a lonely creative wanting to find her people, community and place.
Fortunately, it led me to find much more; purpose, passion, people, play, a place in this world and a series of paychecks to get to do something I love every damn day. Ikigai baby!
These days, you’ll find me on a tropical island on Magnetic Island in Far North Queensland connecting, creating, working, coaching, podcasting and throwing dinner parties and picnics!
