Meet Natalie Siagian / @nat.asia

In 2014, my journey as a Creator started after graduating with a Business Marketing degree and booking a one-way ticket to Northern Thailand to volunteer teaching English. Here I realised I had a real passion and talent for storytelling, marketing, writing, travelling, learning, personal and professional development.
The last 9+ years has led me down interesting paths across my life and career - I’ve worked in the world of Marketing on globally-renowned brands like Contiki Holidays, Pollen, WhiteGREY, U by Kotex, Volvo Car Australia, Marketing For Good, McDonalds Australia, Westpac and more but truthfully, I’ve always been a people-person, creative wizard and serial passion project creator.
In 2021, I left the 9-5 corporate rat race for good and founded The Personhood in the middle of the pandemic originally, to solve my own problems as a lonely creative wanting to find her people, community and place.
Fortunately, it led me to finding much more; purpose, passion, people, play, a place in this world and series of paychecks to get to do something I love every damn day. Ikigai baby!
These days, you’ll find me on a tropical island on Magnetic Island in Far North Queensland connecting, creating, working, coaching, podcasting and throwing dinner parties and picnics!

I'm Dani, and I'm a proud dog mom to Louie the Cavoodle. Besides that, I dabble in the culinary arts and fancy myself a bit of a pop culture trivia guru.
I've recently earned the title of 'Queen of Unconventional Success,' and it's all because I've discovered that life truly begins to take shape when you start living it on your own terms. I've come to realize that designing a fulfilling life in your 30s and beyond is entirely possible.
If you're anything like me, you'll know that walking the less-trodden path isn't always easy. It's tempting to conform, to follow the crowd. But as we try to fit in, we often lose sight of our true selves.
In my mid-20s, my life looked great on paper. I had a degree, a good job, a wonderful boyfriend, and I was financially independent. But here's the catch – I was utterly miserable. I had designed a life based on everyone else's expectations of what should make me happy. After a decade in the advertising and production world, living the city life, I couldn't ignore that persistent inner voice asking, "Is this it?"
I've fought for my life on my own terms many times. I've walked away from jobs, ended relationships, ventured into freelance work, embraced solo travel, started my own business, and even relocated to a tropical island to create Slay Your Way from my bedroom floor.
I aim to show millennial women what's possible long before they're ready to commit to the seemingly impossible with my no-nonsense and no-rules approach to life.
